I loved the idea of a Twitter accountability partner - or even using all of my Twitter followers as an accountability board.

This list is VERY ambitious. I know because I've made lists that are a near duplicate of this. Some of these things will just take plain old time - so be careful not to burnout.

My daughter spent one summer watching every single Johnny Depp movie. And with work, volleyball camp, miscellaneous road trips, and just plain old hanging out with friends - it took her the whole summer.

And Robin Williams has been a lot more prolific. Plus, to be fair - not all of his movies are even watchable ;-)

And I assume #48 is before #41?

I'm going to spend some time making my list this weekend.

I might make a shorter list - with less days.

If I know I have a 1001 days to do something - I'll end up waiting until day 971 to get started.

Re: 101 Goals in 1001 Days: Marina’s Goals

Nice list- I hope you don't mind if I use some of yours as inspiration for my list. I HAVE always wanted to do a split!

I'll take you out for Ethiopian food when you come to Walden, k?

Re: 101 Goals in 1001 Days: Marina’s Goals

Good point, Eric ... by "works" I actually meant "books" but I should definitely be more clear, or I could read every minute for the next 1,001 days and not make a dent in that section!

As for giving up coffee ... just to say I did. Sometimes my tolerance gets a wee bit too high (like the day I had six shots of espresso at LuLu's, then a double espresso at the SC Diner, then took a nap) and it's good to reset it.

Re: 101 Goals in 1001 Days: Marina’s Goals

Also, Re #68: .... Reading all of Friedman's books is certainly possible. Reading all of his journal articles and books is tough, but possible. But reading everything he wrote (pertaining to economics) is a hell of a task - they've literally got a whole room full of boxes full of his papers. I never appreciated how prolific the man was until I saw it, it's absolutely incredible. That man was a true believer. I'll try to forward anything I get my hands on, but I can't promise much - they're being oddly protective...

Re: 101 Goals in 1001 Days: Marina’s Goals

I love your goals. I love the way you categorized them. They run the gamut from fairly mundane to incredibly ambitious.

I'm never one for making lists or being remotely organized or goal-oriented, really, but there's some inspiration to be taken from this. Very cool.

-Jon

Re: 101 Goals in 1001 Days: Marina’s Goals

Hey Marina, this is an awesome list! Lots of great stuff. And just to give you a head's up, so you're not disappointed, I grew up near Walden Pond and it isn't anything like what it was when Thoreau was there. So don't imagine that you'll be heading out into the wilderness!

I'll definitely be following along to see how you do with these.

And thanks for the link to my 36-hours of free time post.

Re: 101 Goals in 1001 Days: Marina’s Goals

Re #16: I have found Mozy to be a perfect backup solution for me. At least until Leopard comes out. Mozy Unlimited Backup [affiliate link] It's $5/mo and works in the background. Beautiful.

Re #70: I just took up the task of 200 beers. I joined the U.F.O. club at The Flying Saucer last night, and I am aiming to have my plate on the wall before I move away from Fort Worth. http://www.beerknurd.com

Keep up the great work!
